Industrial FOMO: 3 Things You Get Access to With Haines City Industrial Park
Thursday, October 5, 2023 by Haines City

Business growth is essential to the longevity and success of your company, and part of ensuring that business growth is by growing in the right place. Expanding your business into the Haines City Industrial Park is the ideal way to make the most of your growth; you'll be making sure your expansion means something.

But what's great about the Industrial Park, and what could your business be missing out on if you grow your business somewhere else? Here, we'll dive into a few key things your business will have access to when you scale in the Industrial Park.

Greater Access to Rail

For companies that distribute or manufacture items like lumber, pavers, or food, having direct access to rail connections is more than a benefit; it can be a means of business survival. When you're not located near rail connections, you need to pay for additional transport for your products. The typical option here is to use a trans-loading service. For companies on a tight budget, this may be an additional cost you don't want to shell out, especially if you're unsure of how your products will be treated during transport.

That isn't the case when you expand your business into the Haines City Industrial Park. The Industrial Park gives you prime access to the rail spur connection and the main CSX line. That means your company can load your freight right onto the rail cars without having to worry about a third-party transportation service. What's more, according to the Association of American Railroads, railroads are the most fuel-efficient way to move freight. Railroads are capable of moving one ton of freight 500 miles for just one gallon of fuel.

Greater Access to Your Target Audience

Another key reason why you don't want to miss out on growing your business with Haines City Economic Development Council is that the Industrial Park is located right in the heart of the I-4/Highway 27 Corridor between Tampa and Orlando. That means, when you expand your business here, you have greater access to your target audience because you're able to access up to 8.9 million people that you wouldn't be able to access if you were located elsewhere. For those selling clothing items, food, or home goods, this is a prime location you don't want to miss out on.

Greater Access to Roads

Finally, if you don't ship your products by rail but you do ship your products by truck, you could be missing out on prime roadway locations when you don't scale your business with the Haines City Industrial Park. While the route is still in the early stages of planning, the Central Florida Parkway has been proposed on State Road 544. This location is right near the end of the Haines City Industrial Park's western side. This would connect State Road 60 and Polk Parkway. This would make on-road transportation and shipping that much easier for businesses located at or near the Industrial Park.

If you're looking to scale your business, the Haines City Economic Development Council can help you find the right place for your company to stretch its legs. To learn more about the Industrial Park, contact us today!
